The last duel by Ridley Scott

Presented out of competition at the Festival del cinema di Venezia on 10 September 2021

In fourteenth-century France, Marguerite de Thibouville, wife of the knight Jean de Carrouges, states that she was raped by her husband's best friend, the squire Jacques Le Gris. Jean then challenges his friend to a duel and, for his wife's honour, will fight the last judicial duel legitimised by French law.
