The "Smash Repression" street parade took place in Modena, a protest demonstration against the government's anti-rave decree.
The demonstration, which set off from parco Novi Sad, drew more than 7,000 people, mostly young, but also families and people of all ages.
The procession, escorted by 27 vans and floats with huge speaker stacks, went through the city streets for about twelve hours, reaching parco Ferrari in the evening.
The protest was organised exactly one year after the Modena Nord rave, which was later cleared by the police.
